Welcome

Upon arrival, you will know Dr. Erin is ready for your scheduled appointment when you see both a green sign and green light in the window. If both are still red please wait either in your car or on the bench in the front yard until they have changed.

Once inside you will be warmly greeted with a big smile and welcomed to the office.  If you haven’t already filled out our new patient intake form (which can be found below) prior to your visit you will be asked to complete it in the office.

Consultation

Next, you will have a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Erin to discuss your current and past health history, any questions you may have, the reason you are seeking chiropractic care, and your wellness goals. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Erin to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.  At this time, Dr. Erin will also explain how chiropractic wellness care works, and specifically how things are done in our practice. We strongly feel that the more we know about you, and the more you know about us, the more we can tailor your treatment plan to your health goals and optimize your health.

Examination

New patients to our office undergo a complete Structural Examination. This is probably the most important part of the process in our office. Unlike some other chiropractic offices where the exam is done in 5 minutes by someone other than the doctor, at McFerson Chiropractic your complete structural examination will be thoroughly performed by Dr. Erin to identify the nature of your structural shift. We believe the doctor/patient relationship is one of the most important parts of the healing process and we make sure there will be ample time to answer any questions you may have along the way.  The exam will include:

  • Orthopedic evaluation
  • Neurological evaluation
  • Range of Motion
  • Structural Analysis
  • Palpation of the Spine

Dr. McFerson will take the results of the examination and create a customized corrective plan of care. We do not use a cookie-cutter approach or tell our patients they need to come for the rest of their lives.

You can save time on your first visit by downloading and filling out our paperwork before coming in.

What are my options?

Our goal at McFerson Chiropractic is to make sure that our patients are equipped with as much information as possible before they make decisions regarding their health. There are a number of ways to manage symptoms and we will make sure to discuss those options during your consultation. We understand that our services aren’t for everyone, and if we don’t seem like a good fit for your needs, we will help you find a local option.

We work closely with local doctors, massage therapists, acupuncturists, physical therapists and other practitioners to make sure patients are receiving the best care possible. We might even find that you would be better served through traditional chiropractic care. Whichever the case may be, we’re committed to your health.
